The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism is pleased to announce that Lindsay Shaw has been nominated for the Association of Legal Administrators’ (ALA) Quest Award. Shaw, CLE & Program Coordinator for the Commission on Professionalism, is one of 18 finalists from more than 720 eligible members across the U.S.
The Quest Award recognizes a new member who has become quickly and effectively engaged with ALA and demonstrates support for the profession, conviction, dedication and relentless pursuit of personal and professional excellence. Chapter presidents are given the opportunity to nominate one individual from a field of the chapter’s eligible new members.
The 2019 Quest Award recipient will be announced at the ALA Annual Conference Awards Gala, held on Wednesday, April 17, in Grapevine, Texas.
“Lindsay has played a key role in the Commission since she joined our team in 2015. Specifically, she coordinates our professional responsibility CLE, ensuring that top-notch programming is available to attorneys in Illinois and across the U.S.,” said Jayne Reardon, Executive Director of the Commission on Professionalism. “Through her work with the Commission and the ALA, Lindsay is helping to tackle operational and leadership challenges that impact the future of the legal industry. We congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
As CLE & Program Coordinator for the Commission on Professionalism, Shaw monitors professional responsibility CLE courses from providers across the state and assists with the Commission’s programming. She joined the Commission on Professionalism as Office Manager in 2015.
Earlier in her career, Shaw worked in administrative roles at Catholic Charities and Catholic Extension. Here, she quickly discovered her passion for working with mission-orientated organizations.
Shaw has been a member of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the ALA since 2017 and served on the board from 2018-2019. She holds a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
