Lydia Faklis is a second year law student at the University of Illinois College of Law, and she is a native of the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Lydia completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in English and minoring in both Business and Communication.
Lydia spent her undergraduate summers working as an intern at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s Center on Wrongful Convictions and as a judicial services intern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
During her 1L summer, Lydia completed two externships with a federal judge in Chicago and also at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. In law school, she is the Managing Editor of The Elder Law Journal, the graduate assistant for Pre-Law Advising Services, a member of the Women’s Law Society, and a student member of the Hellenic Bar Association. Lydia was a recipient of the Hellenic Bar Association’s student scholarship in 2016.
