Erika serves as the Communications Specialist for the Commission on Professionalism. She’s the face of the Commission’s online platforms, developing strategies that will increase 2Civility’s social presence across all digital media channels, bringing a fresh take on the brand’s methods of engagement and strengthening the Commission’s level of influence amongst the legal profession online.
However, her focus isn’t solely digital. Erika also works to enhance the Commission’s reputation through more traditional methods as the primary media relations contact. She works to develop and maintain relationships with local and national media as well as other legal professionals and influencers across the globe to leverage the work of the 2Civilty Team solidifying the credibility of the brand.
Erika received her Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University in May 2015 studying Public Relations and Social Media Marketing where her passion for writing and brand development took flight. She looks to continue her education in the near future, expanding on her studies in new media and strategic communication in hopes of receiving her Masters, and maybe more.
Prior to joining the 2Civility team, Erika dabbled in a wide array of settings within the public relations field. She’s worked in the entertainment, public affairs, consumer brand, higher education, automotive, nonprofit, and health care realms of communications for a number of different clients in the Midwest and the West Coast, building up her resume before landing her first post-graduate position at the Commission on Professionalism.
Outside of the office, Erika works to develop her own personal brand as she takes on Chicago for the first time having grown up just outside of the Greater St. Louis area. Though she may not be accustomed to the deep dish pizza as a Celiac or even a fan of the sports teams in this neck of the woods, she has found the Windy City to be quite accommodating to her active lifestyle as a runner and fitness fanatic. Lucky for her, she even discovered that the New York Sports scene is quite large in Chicago, so though she may be far from home, she can still root for her Yankees, Giants, and Knicks.
