The founding member of Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chtd., Edward Walsh has served for over 40 years as a medical malpractice trial lawyer representing plaintiffs who have suffered catastrophic personal injuries and death.

As a consumer advocate, Edward has secured three multi-million dollar medical malpractice jury verdicts in which the amount of each verdict exceeded the monetary amount of insurance available to protect the doctors who were sued. Since inception in 2004, the Law & Politics and Chicago magazines have consistently selected Mr. Walsh as one of Illinois’ “Super Lawyers” based on recognition by his peers.

Mr. Walsh received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College in Iowa and earned his juris doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Walsh is a member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice and also serves as a member of the Supreme Court’s Rules Committee. He is a past member and chairman of the Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness to Practice Law, and also served as a member of the Supreme Court E-Business Committee, which established the criteria for electronic filing in Circuit Courts throughout Illinois.

Walsh is the past associate general counsel and general counsel for the DuPage County Bar Association under the terms of five presidents as well as a past president of the Inns of Court and an elected member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA). He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Edward Walsh has served on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism since 2010.
