William Moran III
William F. Moran, III is a principal and managing partner of the Springfield law firm of Stratton, Moran, Townsend, Reichert, Sronce & Appleton, where he has a varied general practice, including in the area of administrative law, where he represents attorneys before the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (“ARDC”) and other professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. Mr. Moran’s legal expertise also extends to civil litigation, appeals, family law and trademarks.
Prior to joining the Stratton Moran law firm, Mr. Moran worked as a law clerk, counsel and senior counsel for the Administrator of the ARDC in both its Chicago and Springfield offices.
Mr. Moran received both his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Sangamon County Bar Association and has advised the Lincoln-Douglas American Inn of Court as president, secretary, treasurer and director of arrangements. Mr. Moran has made numerous MCLE presentations across the state concerning the issues of ethics and attorney disciplinary law.
Mr. Moran has served on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism since 2013, sitting on several of its committees, including diversity and mentoring
